OP ED - Joakim Noah WILL Remain a Chicago Bull

As a Bulls fan, I know just how important Joakim Noah is to the Bull’s team and organization. I feel that he is arguably on of the most versatile defenders in the league. With his size he can take on the biggest players, yet he’s still fast and agile enough to switch onto wings and keep in front of them. Besides his skills and basketball IQ, he has something that most players in the league don’t have, which is the passion to win. Every night he plays his heart and soul out, screaming after every made basket and hard fought rebound, diving for loose balls, and making some incredible passes which is why he leads the league in assists. Let’s not forget about his “finger guns” celebration.

Noah is the type of player that coaches love most. Coach Tom Thibodeu praises his game and work ethic after every game, despite the score and outcome. Receiving praise from a tough-minded guy like Thibodeu proves that Noah gives 100% every game night. And yes, with being such a highly emotional player there have been times where Noah has taken things too far, especially his latest incident where he was fined $15k for mouthing off to the officials against the Sacramento Kings. Despite these few incidents, this year he’s been playing some of the best basketball of his career. He averages a double-double a night, and regularly flirts with triple-doubles, which he did end up having one just recently against the Atlanta Hawks.

So why all the talk about trading Noah? I can guarantee that these rumors of Noah being traded are nothing more silly rumors and fantasies. The media tends to create these trade rumors and scenarios to get teams and fans riled up.
