Appearance
Pours a cloudy medium amber body with a small head (despite a hard pour) that shrinks quickly and leaves a few sparks of lace around the glass
Aroma
A surprisingly sharp grapefruit aroma to this one with a lot of floral notes to it as well. Some slight booze, but otherwise a nice malt character. A bit of brown sugar, toffee, and caramel.
Taste
Some citrus hop notes up front with a mild bitterness, but this is a pretty sweet barleywine. Lots of toffee and brown sugar sweetness with a slight creaminess to it, maybe a bit of molasses.
